With greater need expected, Fuel Bank seeks public donations

Since 2007, the Bridgton Community Center Emergency Fuel Bank has assisted Bridgton residents with 100 gallons of emergency fuel (equivalent in wood and pellets) each heating season from November to April.

Last winter, through the generosity of public donations, the Bridgton Community Center (BCC) was able to help 24 Bridgton families stay warm. While an impressive number, the goal this year is to exceed it.

With increasing fuel costs, BCC anticipates a greater need in the 2024-25 heating season.

“However, we can only accomplish this with your help through your generous contributions to the BCC Fuel Bank,” said Darcey Pomerleau, BCC executive director. “Thank you for your generous donation to keep Bridgton warm!”

The Bridgton Fuel Bank is a program of the Bridgton Community Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization. If you would like to donate you may visit the website: https://www.bridgtoncommunitycenter.org/program/bcc-fuel-bank
