Virginia Grace, 77
AUBURN — Virginia “Ginger†Grace passed from this life to be united with her Lord and mother and father on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at the Androscoggin Hospice in Auburn.
Born on June 27, 1939 in Peeks-kill, New York, she was the daughter of Agnes and Thomas P. Grace Sr.
After graduating from Peekskill High School in 1957, she attended St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1960. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for 41 years, and retired to Naples in 2001.
Ginger was a member of the St. Francis Alumni Assoc., the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Joseph Church Hospitality Committee, Women’s Guild, and SHE served as a Eucharistic Minister. Ginger was also a member of the Catholics Come Home Committee. She loved entertaining, cooking, wine tasting, and golf not so much.
She is survived by her brother Thomas of Florida; his daughter Colleen; sons Tim and Tom and Tom’s wife Liz, and their children Heather and Jack. She also had many cousins and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A mass and celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Joseph Church in Bridgton.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn, or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bridgton.
