Veda is lovingly remembered by her children: Jerry (and wife Donna) of Denmark; Jayne of Collingswood, N.J.; and Jolie (and husband Kevin) of Gorham, N.H.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Danielle (and husband Wayne) of Coker, Ala.; Autumn (and husband Jeremy) of Chesterville; Jenna, Jonathan, and Kyle of Denmark; Kohl (and wife Natalie) of Haddonfield, N.J.; Fallon of Augusta; and Harrison of Ashland, N.H.. Veda and her best friend Margaret Snow would travel to Old Orchard Beach, Bar Harbor, and really enjoyed dances of all kinds. Veda loved to dance but often said she had “two left feet.”
Veda was well-known for her long career as a waitress at Barjo’s in Norway, where she worked for over 30 years and she was known to be called “The Best Waitress in the World.”
Veda enjoyed hiking Singpole and Bear mountains to pick blueberries and enjoy the view.
Veda often played cribbage, as well as many card and board games. Veda was an avid Red Sox fan. She cherished her Elvis Presley albums and loved working on puzzles of all kinds. Though she might not have admitted it, Veda had a warm heart for every dog and bird that became part of her family.
Most of all Veda loved spending time with family and friends and attending parades, family cookouts, and spending Mother’s Day at Swans Falls with her children.
