NAPLES — Sylvia H. (Harmon) Andrews, 98, passed away unexpectedly at her daughters home in Raymond with her loving family around her, on April 20, 2024, at 3:30 a.m.

She was born September 22, 1925, a daughter of Everett and Lillian (Pingree) Harmon.

Sylvia attended and graduated from the local school system and continued on to work in the shoe manufacturing business.

She married Arthur Andrews on December 24, 1943, and celebrated 61 years of marriage. Together, they raised six children: Arthlene and Paul Winkley of Northboro, Mass.; Sharon Goldsmith of Fryeburg; Nancy Smith of Raymond; Gary and Jackie Andrews of Homedale, Idaho; Gail Elaine and Ed Dunn of E. Falmouth, Mass.; Mark Andrews of Naples.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving, very sweet and caring mother and grandmother and will be missed very much by all.

She is predeceased by her loving parents Everett and Lillian Harmon, her husband Arthur Andrews and her brother Ernest Harmon of Sebec.

Sylvia has 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren

She also leaves a niece, Hallie Downing from Corinna, and a nephew George Harmon from Sebec, and a cousin Ronald Kenniston from Bridgton.

In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, a graveside service will take place in the Naples village cemetery at the convenience of the family.
