Steven Kingsbury

December 11, 1954 to December 31, 2024

Steven A. Kingsbury, 70, of Harrison passed away on Dec. 31, 2024, with his wife and brother by his side, after a short battle with cancer.

Steve was born in Bridgton on Dec. 11, 1954, to Robert and Eulalie Kingsbury of Harrison. He was the youngest of three boys. Steve lived almost his entire
life in Harrison. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1973. After high school, he went to work at General Dynamics in New London, Conn. Upon returning back to Harrison after two years, he then went to work for Lucas Tree and then for Kearsarge Metallurgical in Conway, N.H.

Steve then decided to become a carpenter, working for various carpenters before starting his own company know as S.K. Construction. Steve loved to hunt and fish. He was known to wade out to his neck to just catch a fish, returning with a big smile, “I told you so,” and yes, he even tried golf. Along the way Steve picked up the nicknames Grizz and Squirrel for his constant chatter.

Steve was predeceased by his parents and his brother Timothy Kingsbury.

Steve is survived by his wife Marcia Ward Kingsbury of Harrison; his daughter Jennifer Kingsbury Clark of Lewiston; his brother Thomas Kingsbury and wife Louise of Fryeburg; also his step-daughters Brittney Thibeault and partner Jeff Hanning of Oxford, Jaymi-Leigh Poland and wife Chelsey of Harrison; three grandchildren Cassius, Brayleigh and Harper; mother and father-in-law Barbara and Dale Ward of Waterford; along with many great friends and cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be a graveside service at a later date.
