Stanley Staley

MEXICO — Stanley Hartley Staley, 60, of Mexico passed away surrounded by family at CMMC in Lewiston. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was born February 21, 1965 in Bridgton, to Delma and Roscoe Staley. He grew up in Bridgton and attended Bridgton schools. Meeting and marrying the love of his life, Lisa Schwenk, brought him to the Rumford/Mexico area. Stanley was a devoted father to Lisa’s four children and a special
grandfather to several little ones, especially Brandi and Lucas who he raised as his own.

Stanley found true happiness in the comfort of his home, where he created a warm and welcoming space filled with love and laughter. He cherished quiet evenings, the company of close family and friends, and the simple joys of life. His love for his pets, especially his German Shepherds, was a reflection of his warmth and compassion he brought to the world. He will be remembered by his contagious laugh, always seeking new experiences and finding beauty in the unexpected.

Stanley was predeceased by his parents and brothers Robert and Henry Staley of Bridgton.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Staley and her children, Ashley Drouin and husband Philip of Bryant Pond, Kevin Wickham Jr. of Mexico, Bryan Wood Jr. of Mexico and Christopher Morey of South Paris. Stanley will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, especially Brandi and Lucas, who affectionately call him “Papa.” His brothers George Staley of Naples and Clayton Howe of Bridgton and his sister Debbie Martin of Bridgton will always remember his humor and devotion to family. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Stanley will be laid to rest at Crooked River Cemetery in Naples, Maine, with services to be determined at a later date.
