It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra “Sunny” Elizabeth Walker Panno announces her passing on October 4, 2024, at the age of 82.

Born on October 19, 1941, in Fryeburg. Sunny was the beloved daughter of Lester and Kathleen Walker of Fryeburg. She grew up alongside her two brothers, Jeffery and Bradford Walker.

Sunny graduated from Fryeburg Academy before embarking on a career in nursing, where she graduated as the youngest in her class. Her nursing career began at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., where she worked in the ER for many years. She later became the director of Nurses at Fryeburg Health Center and finished her remarkable career at Sacopee Valley Health Center in 2006. Sunny was an extraordinary nurse, known for the deep care she provided to her patients and their families, a dedication that extended well beyond her formal retirement.

Sunny was married to Robert D. Panno (Bob) of East Conway, N.H., for 60 years, and together they raised four children: Victor Panno, Michelle Rankin, Daniel Panno, Robert Panno ll and stepdaughter Roberta Lord. Sunny and Bob cherished time spent with family and friends, with one of their favorite destinations being Prince Edward Island, where they spent a month each summer for many years.

Sunny is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert, her two children Daniel Panno and Michelle Rankin, and her brother Jeffery Walker.

She is survived by her sons Victor Panno (married to Laurie), Robert Panno (married to Bernadette), and stepdaughter Roberta Lord (married to Dennis). She also leaves behind her brother Bradford Walker and sister-in-law Jean Walker, her cherished grandchildren Nicholas Panno, Timothy Panno, Victor Panno, Sullivan Cole, Joseph Rankin, Nichole Rankin, Kendra Reimers, Craig Anthony, Paul Lord, and Glen Lord, as well as her great-grandchildren Braydon Rankin, Jaxon Neenan, and Daxx Panno.

May you rest in peace, dear Sunny. You are loved deeply and will be missed by all whose lives you touched.
