Ruth Delan

RAYMOND — Ruth E. (Thurlow) Delan, 91, of Raymond, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Raymond on Feb. 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Harold and Bessie (Knight) Thurlow. Ruth married Harry J. Delan on June 25, 1942. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church of Oxford. With a very large and loving family, she will be remembered for the love she shared and the quality time she spent with them.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 72 years, Harry J. Delan; six children, Melinda Stillwell of Chesapeake Va., Harry M. Delan of Raymond, Madeline Pearl of Mechanic Falls, Judy Blake of Raymond, Rebecca Kelley of Dover-Foxcroft and Rosemary Snow of Milo; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ronald, Robert and Richard; and sisters, Esther and Bertha.
She was predeceased by siblings Russell and Ruby.
Visiting hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 followed by a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home, Casco. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhomeinc.com
