Russell Knight

Russell Wendell Knight, 81, of Bridgton, passed away on Thursday night, April 21, 2016, with family by his side.

Russell was born Jan. 28, 1935, son of Rosella and Samuel Knight of Bridgton. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Gloria Thompson and Katherine Sargent of Bridgton; infant son, Daniel Francis Knight of Bridgton; and his wife, Joann Irish Knight of Bridgton.

He is survived by his brother, Samuel Knight of Bolsters Mills; and four sons, Russell (Suk) of Alaska, Michael (Ann) of Westbrook, Timothy (Judi) of Bridgton, and Eric (Denise) of Naples; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Russell was a member of the Bridgton High School Band. He graduated in June 1954. He worked for J.R. Mains Co. of Bridgton and Dielectric of Raymond, and was a part-time police officer for the Town of Bridgton.
