Rotary Good Citizen: Savannah Mullins
Savannah Mullins of Sebago has been selected as the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club’s “Citizen of the Month” for October.
Each month, the Rotary Club recognizes a Lake Region High School student who displays good citizenship and contributes to the school community. The recipient is honored at a Rotary breakfast meeting and is presented a monetary gift.

Activities: Volleyball and Tennis
Community activities: Help out with fundraisers for Rotary, and kettle dinners.
Hobbies: Hanging out with friends and spending time with my family.
Future plans: I plan on going to college and getting my doctoral degree and becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.
Schools that you have or will apply: Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, University of New England, St. Joseph’s College and University of Southern Maine.
Q. What do you consider as traits that make someone a good citizen? To always be kind, have an open mind and to not be afraid of helping someone.
Q. Who has inspired you to be a good citizen? My family, specifically my parents and grandparents because they always taught me to help people and it is easier to be nice than mean.
Q. What have you done to make the school community a better place? Currently, the Lake Region Interact Club and I will be reading to the elementary students about veterans for Veterans Day.
Q. Why is volunteerism important? I believe that volunteerism is important because it is a way to introduce yourself into your community and it can help anyone in need.
Q. In the future, what do you see yourself doing to make the world a better place? Hopefully, with my future job as a Pediatric Oncologist, I want to help find the cure to cancer, even though we are so close.
