DENMARK — Roland H. Legare Jr., of Denmark, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Oct. 26, 2023.

Roland was born on March 4, 1936, to Roland Legare Sr., and Bernadette Legare in Central Falls, R.I. His occupation was auto mechanic and long-haul trucking into Canada.

His hobbies were gardening with his special interest in flowers. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and carpentry projects.

Roland is survived by his loving wife Claire, of 66 years; son Paul and his wife Kay of Maine; daughter Pauline and her husband Gerry of R.I., son Michael and his wife Stephanie of Fla., also 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Roland was predeceased by his sister Pauline; his parents Roland Sr. and Bernadette Legare; brother Richard Legare; sister Simone Janarelli, and his son Donald Legare.

A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 857 Main Street, Fryeburg, on Monday Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.
