FRYEBURG – Robert “Bob” Paul Bell passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 69 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Bob is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Bell of Fryeburg; his sons Eric Bell and wife Katie of North Yarmouth, James Bell of Freeport, and Danny Simpson of Chicopee, Mass.; and his stepdaughters to whom he was truly a second father, Laura Harper Lake and husband Geoff Lake of Epping, N.H., and Joanna Fadden, and husband Georgie of Center Conway, N.H.

He is also survived by his brother Richard Bell and wife Marcia of Hodgdon; sisters Lynne York and husband Steve of Dracut, Mass., and Sheryl Evans and husband Dave of St. Augustine, Fla.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Bob was born on February 9, 1955, in Quincy, Mass. He grew up in Weymouth, Mass., and loved spending the summers of his childhood visiting Mars Hill. Bob enjoyed his work as a carpenter for forty years throughout Maine and New Hampshire, making many friends along the way. In 2010, Bob became a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He enjoyed fly fishing, playing guitar with his friend Sam, and relaxing at his camp in Easton. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and deep love of music.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on July 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Fryeburg, with a reception to follow.
