CASCO — Robert A. “Beanie” Bean, 68, of Casco, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 17, 2021, at his home in Casco, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 16, 1953, in Lewiston, a son of Perley and Ruth (Fifield) Bean. He graduated from Edward Little High School and as a young man worked at Shawnee Steps in Auburn.

On June 16, 1973, he married, Bonnie Lorrain in Casco where they settled and made their home.

His second home was right up the road at the Hancock Lumber Sawmill where did everything over the 24 years he worked there.

Beanie was a 35-plus year member of the Crooked River Masonic Lodge, but his passion was navigating the woods, streams and Sebago Lake near his home searching for big deer and big fish!

He is loved by his wife, Bonnie of Casco; sons, Robert Bean and his fiancé, Michele Wilson and her son, Em of Casco and Jeff Bean and his longtime companion, Shelly Edwards of Lexington Township.; a brother, Rodney Bean and his wife, Sonja of Waterford; a sister, Rachel Flanders of Norway; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Samantha and Autumn.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Bean.
