Richard Robinson

Richard “Rick” Robinson, 68, of Naples, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at the Bridgton Hospital.

He was born May 26, 1953, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the U.S. Marine base hospital. Rick was the son of the late Ivory “Bud” and Ruth Robinson of Naples.

Rick graduated in 1971 from Lake Region High School with honors. He attended the University of Maine in Gorham for 2 1?2 years. He worked for Oakhurst Dairy for some time, and was also a chef at The Country Squire in Naples. In
time, he went to work for GNK Aerospace in St. Louis, Mo., for 18 years. A man of many talents, he found success in all of his career endeavors. He returned to Maine in 2012 due to some health issues.

Rick served on the SAD 61 School Board, and the Town of Naples Budget Committee. He was also the commander of the Sons of the Legion Post 155.

Rick’s happiest moments revolved around kids, the arts and sports. He was a Laker for life, and was a huge fan of all Laker sports, but had a special place in his heart for the basketball teams. He never encountered a stranger, just a friend he hadn’t met yet. He touched the hearts of everyone he met.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Robinson of Naples; his sister Lisa Seyffert and her husband, Mike of Cedar Park, Tex.; nephew, Drew Seyffert of Denver, Colo.; niece, Rhea Seyffert of Norwood, Mass.; aunts and many cousins; his best friend Maxine Godwin. Rick was predeceased by his father, “Bud” and his grandmother, Claire Thurston who he adored.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Raymond Village Cemetery, Mill Street, Raymond. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 155, 26 Casco Road, Naples.
