Ribbon cutting, tours of Crooked River school scheduled
SAD 61 will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, July 25, at 2 p.m. at Crooked River Elementary School in Casco.
“The reimagining of this school has been five years in the making,” district officials said. “Stephen Blatt Architects produced many drafts before creating the design that Great Falls Construction has spent the past two years bringing to life.”
The project includes not only the renovation of the 36-year-old building, but an addition of 13,000 square feet of classroom space. This allows the school district more flexibility as future growth is inevitable in this region.
“SAD 61 is excited to share this building with the community,” officials said. CRES opens this fall to grades 3-5.
There will be a brief ceremony starting at 2 p.m. followed by tours throughout the building. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
