Player of the Week, Jacob Gilmore
Jacob Gilmore has been one of Lake Region’s top sprinters and high jumpers for the past two years.
“Jacob also can be counted on to run in a relay or two. His good nature and sportsmanship have rubbed off on his teammates and coaches,” Lake Region varsity Track & Field Coach Mark Snow said. “Jacob has also been very good at taking time during his practice to help the middle school team. He understands the importance of helping others, especially younger and less experienced athletes.”
In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Jacob is this week’s Boosters Club and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
