Player of the Week Bella Smith
Bella Smith leads by her actions, every day.
“It shows up every day,” Lake Region varsity girls’ basketball Head Coach Doug Banks said. “No matter who you are on the team, she always takes the time to say, ‘Hi!’ She is always open to letting me and the coaching staff work with her to be the best player she can be, as well as understanding what she needs to do to make the team better every day.”
In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Bella is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
