Phyllis H. Bishop, a longtime resident of Sweden, passed away on March 6, 2025, at Bella Point Assisted Living Home after a long illness.

She was born in Bridgton on March 16, 1930. She worked in shoe shops in Bridgton and Fryeburg. Phyllis worked many years as a cook at Bridgton Hospital.

She is survived by daughters Valarie Reynolds of Kingston, N.H. and Patrice Swasey of Sweden; sister Beverly Wilson of Sweden; brother Bob Brooks of Bridgton; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be announced in the spring.
