Philip Guy Cushman, 78, of Bridgton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Phil was born to Guy and Fannie Cushman on April 20, 1941. He lived most of his life in Bridgton and graduated from Lake Region High School. 

He leaves as his legacy his daughters, Sheri Maines, Sandie Doyon and Cheri Theobald; his son, Max Cushman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory one sibling, David Cushman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Pat Cushman; his sons, Sam Cushman and Chris Rowe; and his wife of 28 years, Sharon Cushman.

For many years, Phil was a successful antique dealer taking a special interest in antique furniture and book collections, as well as artwork from local artists like Dalov Ipgar and Jon Legere.

A small gathering will be scheduled to honor both Phil and Sharon Cushman in the summer of 2020, honoring their wishes to forgo funeral services.
