Paddle Battle draws strong field despite the heat

LEA Executive Director Colin Holme

It might have been a tad too hot, but Paddle Battle 2019 was the “best yet.”

Lakes Environmental Association Executive Director Colin Holme reported that the event went “smoothly” as a sizeable field took on the 2K and 5K course on Highland Lake Saturday morning.

Unlike last year when gusting wind produced white caps, paddlers had a smoother ride as a large crowd watched from the shorefront at Tarry A While resort.
