PUBLIC HEARING CDBG GRANT FUNDING

The Municipal Officers of the Town of Bridgton will hold a Public Hearing at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday March 11, 2025, on the Community Development Advisory Committee recommendations to the Selectboard for funding the 2025-2026 Community Block Grant applications.

The applications were made available on the Town website, www.bridgtonmaine.org, and copies will be posted at the Town Office. The meeting will be held in person and remote access will be provided. Information on how to participate remotely will be published at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, non-exempt position with overtime, and some weekends required. Schedule may vary according to the needs of the department in different seasons. Work involves light carpentry and general repairs to facilities and grounds, grounds maintenance, cleaning of buildings and bathrooms, painting, snow removal by shovel and snow blower, work with chemical solvents for cleaning and floor refinishing, small machine operation and maintenance, placing and removing flags during holidays and driving a pick-up truck. The Sweden Planning Board will hold a Site Walk and Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to consider a Conditional Use Permit application made by the Oxford County Emergency Communications Agency to erect a wireless telecommunications facility including a 180-ft. telecommunications tower at Map R05, Lot 43-A.

The Town of Lovell is seeking qualified applications for a full-time position on the Public Works Department. The candidate must have a positive attitude and be a team player. A C.D.L. is required for this position. They should have experience in snowplowing and working with heavy equipment. Mechanical skills would be helpful.

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and may require being on your feet for extended periods of time.

This is a full-time position based on a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Starting Pay is $22.00 per hour.

Benefits include: Health Insurance, Retirement, vacation pay, Holidays and sick pay. Total benefit package around $24,000.00
