Nancy C. Buxton of Casco, 78, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at Maine Medical Center due to complications caused by pneumonia.

She was born at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Sept. 22, 1945. She was the daughter of Carl and Charlotte Rickett of Portland.

Nancy spent her early years working at Ellis Paper Boy, then located on Thompson’s Point, Portland, and LaRosa’s Market, then located on Washington Avenue, Portland. She was married on Nov. 6, 1965.

Nancy was a proud mother and homemaker who loved her family, friends and church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and crafting. Nancy had a witty sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face and laughter anytime it was needed. Nancy was a regular member of the North Windham Union Church, United Church of Christ with her husband.

She leaves behind her husband Richard I. Buxton Sr.; her four children, Ricky, Ronnie, Susie, and Debi; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
