BRIDGTON — Nadine Thorpe, or her married name Nadine Nichols, of Bridgton, passed away the evening of Nov. 29, 2021. Nadine passed peacefully in her sleep, at home, due to health conditions.

Nadine, loving known as “Dee,” “DeeDee,” or “Ma,” was born on Mar. 28, 1964, in Framingham Mass. to Sandra and Walter Thorpe. Nadine didn’t have much but was always willing to help anyone that she could, how she could; because of this, there are many in the community that looked to her as a friend and a mother figure. Before getting as ill as she was, Nadine was part of her neighboring church where she loved to sing and help out with the congregation’s special gatherings. Nadine loved to cook — her table was open to anyone and no one left hungry; she loved to bake and distribute baked goods to her friends and neighbors around the holidays.

Nadine is survived by her five children, four grandchildren of her own, five grandchildren through marriage, four siblings, her dog, “Moses,” and her cat, “Cinders.”
