MULVANE, KANSAS — Milton A. Thompson, 77, died, Saturday, August 26, 2023.

He was born April 13, 1946, to Bessie Thompson in Portland, Maine. He joined the Army in 1964.
He spent six months in Vietnam, one year in Korea. Three tours in Germany and the stateside was
Texas, Kentucky and Georgia. He met his wife Miriam at Fort Benning, Georgia. They were married
December 7, 1968, and were married 54 years. He enjoyed going to auctions, bingo and enjoyed fish-
ing with his grandfather. Worked at the Fryeburg Fair and delivered news papers for many years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Bessie Thompson, his grandmother, grandfather, and his uncles Manlee and Neal.

Survived by: his wife, Miriam Thompson, four daughters, Etta, Phillis, April and Daisy; two sons, Joseph and Arlie; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial service was held 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2023, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Burial will take place at the Kansas Veteran Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas.
