VOCATIONAL STUDENT OF THE MONTH — The Lake Region Vocational Center’s Masons’ Student of the Month is Omar Elalam. Omar is a senior in the Advanced Technologies II program. Omar is a respectful and conscientious student who is fully dedicated to his course of study. He always makes sure his work is submitted on time and that it is of the highest quality. Omar encourages his classmates to complete their work, and he is always willing to assist them with struggles they encounter with it.  Omar held the office of secretary for the school’s chapter of SkillsUSA this past year. Omar recently achieved almost a perfect score on the ASVAB test, and has enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Petty Officer Third Class in Information Technology. He plans to pursue a college degree in the IT field, as well. Omar is the son of Abdenbi Elalam of Bridgton.  Congratulations, Omar!
