LRVC students salute area veterans

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE…Covid-19 style as Lake Region Vocational Center students, representing various programs including culinary arts and law enforcement held their annual Veterans Day appreciation program on Tuesday. Due to pandemic, LRVC moved the festivities outdoors, enjoying summer-like temps. As area veterans pulled up in their vehicles, they first were greeted by students lining the sidewalk and entry area, waving American flags and thanking veterans for their service. Then, Culinary Arts students brought packaged meals that included chicken parmigiana with green beans and a freshly baked roll. Diversified Occupation students served the appetizer that included beef and barley soup and apple pie squares as patriotic music played in the background and a color guard stood at attention. Albert Pinkham won a quilt, made by the Chickadee Quilters. (Rivet Photos)
