Q. What do you believe are three keys to being a good student? I believe three keys to being a good student are…1.) Knowing that what you put into your education is what you get out of it;2.) Practicing good study habits, such as taking notes in class;3.) Asking questions when needed for help and/or clarification.
Q. What is your favorite class and why? My favorite class was AP Language because of my love for reading and writing and the teacher, Ms. Pulito. I really enjoyed the reading content that Ms. Pulito provided us with, and we also wrote many unique essays that allowed me to express myself through topics I am passionate about.
Q. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is my Math teacher, Mr. Coady. Mr. Coady is the first time I have experienced a teacher who cares as much about helping students in whatever way they need for them to be successful in every way possible. I am so thankful for him helping me get through my most challenging class in high school and showing me that I am more capable than I ever thought.
Q. If you could change one thing about your educational experience, what would it be and why? I would make more honors, AP, and college-level classes available to students who desire to challenge themselves academically because I feel that this would not only improve students’education but would also help prepare them for their college education experience.
Q. What accomplishment are you most proud of, and why? I am most proud of my 800m indoor track and field school record. My goal entering my sophomore year of indoor track and field was to break the 800m school record, and throughout the season, I had my heart set on that and that alone. My hard work and dedication eventually paid off, and I broke the school record. I didn’t stop, however. I continued working tirelessly to reach the best version of myself possible and broke my school record again just ten days later, shaving off another few seconds.I am most proud of this accomplishment because it is an example of how my hard work and passion for the sport paid off and allowed me to go above and beyond the goal I had set for myself.
