LEBANON, N.H. — John G. Clark, 79, of Bridgton, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

John was born in Portland, Maine, on February 1, 1944, to Brock and Kathleen (Gilman) Clark. John graduated from Bridgton High School in 1962. After attending college, John joined the Coast Guard followed by opening Sandy Creek Autobody which he owned and operated for many years.

John was a member of the American Legion in Bridgton. He enjoyed watching football and was a big Patriots fan. John loved hunting and fishing and held a lifetime license.

John is survived by his children Mark Clark and Jeanine Nadeau and her husband John; grandchildren Zack Clark, Emma Nadeau, Abbi Nadeau, J.J. Nadeau and Sarah Nadeau; and his brother Brock Clark Jr.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Maine Veterans cemetery chapel in Augusta.
