John A. Doherty III of Naples, Maine, formerly of Malden, Mass., died by accidental drowning on August 18, 2023.

He is the son of Mark (deceased) and Barbara Doherty.

He is survived by his loving mother and brother Neil and his dog, Chouncy. Also a son that was adopted by a loving family at birth.

John enjoyed life and his work as a dock installer. He loved being in the water. He would go boating as often as possible.

He had a big heart and was always willing to aid family and friends. He will be missed so much.

A celebration of his life is planned on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. at his home at 35 Bayou Road in Naples.
