John A. Day, 77
WESTBROOK — John Allison Day, 77, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Portland.
The son of Darrell and Angie (Young) Day, he was born in Portland on Jan. 23, 1941. He grew up in Portland and Damariscotta.
He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime member of AA, and was proud of his 35-plus years of sobriety. He enjoyed spending time at the Walker Memorial Library in Westbrook.
John was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Day.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Colette Day of Westbrook; his daughters, Cindy Bailey of Raymond and Doreen Day of Steep Falls; as well as many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Day, and his sister, Mary LeClair.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, March 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street.
