Joann (Mowatt) Brill, 68, of Bridgton passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2024.
She was born in Bridgton, on November 14, 1955, to loving parents Stanley Mowatt and Camilla (Bean) Mowatt.

Joann graduated in 1974 from Oxford Hills High School. On July 6, 1974, Joann married the love of her life, Stephen Brill. Together, they raised two children, a son Jon Brill and daughter Stephanie Brill. Joann worked at the family business at Brill Lumber Company in Bridgton, managing the store, before retiring December 2020.

Joann had a passion for the outdoors. Particularly camping, snowmobiling, gardening her flowers, but also at the race track watching her son Jon, do what he loves. When she wasn’t outdoors, Joann could be found shopping or at the casino with her daughter Stephanie.

Above all, Joann treasured her family. Her grandchildren, Matthew and Bella were the light of her life. Joann dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being.

Joann is predeceased by her parents, her son baby Jason Brill, and brother Stanley Richard Mowatt.

Joann is survived by her loving husband Steve Brill of Bridgton. Son Jon Brill and fiancé Traci Rowe of Turner. Daughter Stephanie Brill and fiancé Richard Dow of Bridgton. Her grandson Matthew Brill of Bridgton. Granddaughter Bella Brill of Turner. Siblings Stephen Mowatt and wife Julie of Bridgton, June Jack and husband Sam of Buckfield, Joyce Toothaker and partner Don of Bridgton, Rodney Mowatt of Bridgton, Julie Pampu and husband Gladdess of Oxford, sister-in-law Brenda Mowatt of Norway. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to attend visiting hours to be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton. There will be a funeral service followed by a reception on Saturday March 16, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Bridgton Alliance Church, 386 Harrison Road, Bridgton.
