Jane Dutton
FRYEBURG — Jane Dutton, 71, passed away peacefully in the comforts of her home, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Jane was the devoted, loving wife of 54 years to Jim Dutton. Their marriage was filled with joy, love and unwavering commitment to each other. They en-joyed many activities, travel, and adventures together throughout the years, and were each other’s angels on earth. Jane and Jim defined what marriage vows represent and loved each other a little more each day of their life together.
Together, they raised four sons, Christopher, Corey, Caine, and Casey. Jane was a doting mother and instilled the importance of family in her boys. Jane supported them through countless injuries, events, sports games (cowbell in hand), schooling, marriages and in welcoming their own children. Jane provided the same continued love and devotion to her grandchildren. She was a proud Nana to nine grandchildren Courtney, Jordan, Jenry, Caedan, Cayleigh, Delaney, Kara, Eleanor, and Adelaide. Jane’s sons and grandchildren were a sense of great pride for her and a constant topic of discussion for all around her.
Jane was a lifelong resident of Fryeburg. Born on October 22, 1952, to parents Walter and Charlotte Lord and sibling to one sister Debbie Dolley, and five brothers Dale, Murray, Bruce, Terry, and Gene Lord. Jane graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1971 and worked as a food service manager in the SAD 72 district for over 30 years. Jane was one of the original founders of the Raider’s Boosters Club, and the Project Graduation and participated in countless community events and activities. Jane embodied what a neighbor should be and was deeply invested in the well-being of Fryeburg and all who lived there.
All who knew Jane knew of her infectious laugh, her uplifting and welcoming personality. Jane loved spending time with family and friends and built lifelong friendships and relationships that will be cherished forever. Jane had an ability to make all people, new or old, feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. Jane was a selfless person that always put the needs, comforts, and wants of others before herself and wanted nothing in return. Jane was able to touch and make a permanent impact on many lives with her love, positive attitude, and fierce commitment to family and friends.
Jane’s family invites all friends and all of those whose lives she touched to a celebration of life scheduled for Saturday June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds.
