Isabel T. Gray

Isabel Tonks Gray, 103, a longtime summer resident of Bridgton, passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.

Isabel and her husband, Scott, built a cottage on the east side of Highland Lake in the Ingall’s Grove area in 1970. They both enjoyed summers in Bridgton and time away from their home in Washington, D.C. Isabel came to Bridgton up until her 99th year.

Isabel spent the early years of her life working as an office manager for J.J. Spurr and Co. in Newark, N.J. Later, she started her own photography business. She was active in many women’s organizations in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area of Washington, D.C.

She dearly loved her many friends in Bridgton and retained a great affection for Highland Lake throughout her later life.
