Get into the holiday spirit this weekend with Festival of Lights, Christmas in Harrison

Need a jump start to get into the spirit of the holiday season?
Look no further than Bridgton and Harrison.
Bridgton’s Festival of Lights parade is this Saturday, Dec. 7, featuring theme of “Holiday Magic.” Parade participants line up at the Stevens Elementary School bus loop at 4 p.m. Judging is at 4:30 p.m. A candlelight procession leads the parade at 5 p.m. Parade participants start their march or ride at 5:05 p.m.
Festivities actually begin at 8 a.m. with a Craft & Vendor Fair at Stevens Brook Elementary School. The fair concludes at 3 p.m.
As another program note, Bridgton Rec is sponsoring a Parent Night Out on Friday, Dec. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m. for ages K-Grade 6. Cost is $25 per child. Rec staff will keep youngsters entertained with fun activities, games, crafts and dinner. Pre-registration required. 3 p.m., Charles Dickens Show at the United Parish Church, featuring professional actor Andrew Harris as Charles Dickens.
5:30 p.m., Soup & Song at United Parish Church, presented by the Oxford Hills Chamber Choir.

• A Christmas Trolley at the corner of Smith and Main Street will pick up individuals and transport them to Harrison Elementary School to visit the Craft Fair on Saturday. The trolley will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
