George T. Drisko Jr.
George T. Drisko Jr., 87, of Bridgton died at his home on Thursday, January 16th surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Bridgton, June 12, 1937, the son of George T. Sr. and Avis Lamont Drisko. He graduated from Bridgton High School in the Class of 1955. He continued his education at SMVTI, Northeastern
University, and the University of Southern Maine, where he was awarded a Master’s Degree in
Education. George taught Electronics at the Sanford Regional Vocational High School, SMVTI, York County Community College, as well as at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He previously worked as a corporate trainer at Bell Laboratory in Andover, Mass. George was a past master of Oriental Masonic Lodge #13 in Bridgton and Delta Lodge #153 in Lovell. He was a ham radio operator and instructor. He received a donor award from the American Red Cross and was interviewed by WCSH.
He married D. Kay McAllister on June 14, 1957. He is survived by his wife of Bridgton, son Louis W., daughter Debra J. and husband David Bresnahan, son Daniel and wife Cheryl, daughter Julie and husband Michael Waddington, brother Gordon, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister Muriel Joyce.
Masonic graveside services will be held June 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, Bridgton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the charity of your choice.
