George Douglas

FALMOUTH – George Edward Douglas, 73, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

He was born in Sebago on Sept. 20, 1941, the son of Norman and Olive (Jefferson) Douglas.

George graduated from Sebago High School, Class of 1959. He then started his career as a foreman with the Jordan Equipment Company, where he eventually retired from in 2007. He married Sandra Smith on July 21, 1962, and together they raised their two children in Falmouth. George was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trolling on lakes. His second passion in life was cutting wood on his 60-acre wood lot. George was a great family man, who loved to tell stories to any one who would listen.

He is survived by his two sons, Randy Douglas of Portland and Craig Douglas of Gorham; three grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce and Richard Douglas; a sister, Annie Douglas.
