He was a member and two-time president of the Lions Club. An avid outdoorsman, Gary also enjoyed racing stock cars and golf. He grew up in Boy Scouts and remained active in Scouts as a scout master well into his adult life.
He treasured the good times, love and support of his dear friends the Wards, Jordans, Bells and Strouts.
He and Janet owned The Friendly Village Market in Casco from the mid 60s to early 70s. He also worked as a meat cutter at A&P and Harrison Community Store. In the late 60s, he became a postal carrier, eventually becoming the post master of the Casco Village Post Office for many years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Janet; daughter, Melanie I. Locke and partner Ed Domas; grand-daughters, Gabrielle I. DeRice and partner Seth Perkins, Jazmin H. Miller and husband Chris Miller; great-granddaughter Wolfe Miller.
