Gail Ann Banarer, 65
Gail Ann Banarer, formerly of South Casco, died unexpectedly on Friday morning, Nov. 27, 2020.
She was born in Portland, Maine, on November 8, 1955, and had just turned 65. She graduated from Lake Region High school in 1974.
Gail is survived by her husband, Robert Banarer, of Colorado Springs, Colo. They would have celebrated their 35th anniversary on December 8. She is also survived by two daughters, Rebecca Banarer in Dallas, Texas, and Adrienne Banarer in Aubrey, Texas, who is married to Tedd Talty.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Flick, and is survived by her father, Richard Flick and stepmother Carol Flick in Vassalboro, Maine, as well as four brothers in Maine — Dick Flick Jr., Dan Flick, Thunder Flick, and Tim Flick, and their children and grandchildren.
Gail was a survivor of multiple sclerosis, and was unable to work for much of her adult life. Recently, her health had grown worse, and 2020 was a very difficult year for her. She profoundly touched everyone who knew her for her strength and determina- tion, her compassion, and her beautiful view of life. She will be profoundly missed.
The immediate family will have a private ceremony this weekend honoring Gail.
