Edwin Smith

FRYEBURG — Edwin Smith, 57, of Fryeburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 31, 2016.

He was born at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., on Sept. 12, 1958, to Ellen Smith and Albert Smith Sr.

He loved hunting, fishing, trapping and vacationing in Alaska with his friends. He was loved by many and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his mother, Ellen Smith of North Fryeburg; his daughters, Amber and Marissa Smith of Fryeburg; his granddaughter, Deva Botta; his brothers, Keith Smith of Woodstock and David Smith of Oxford; his sisters, Darlene Rugg of Brownfield, Charlene Grant of Stow, and Alberta Moffett of Norway; his niece, Michele Day of Brownfield; and many other family members.

He was predeceased by his father, Albert Smith Sr. his brother Albert Jr. and his sister Clara.

Memorial graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 10, at 1 p.m., at the Riverside Cemetery in North Fryeburg. A Celebration of Life will be held directly afterward at the North Fryeburg Fire House. Arrangements are in the care of the Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren St., Fryeburg.
