Duane E. Durgin, 89, of Bridgton passed away after a brief illness on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Duane was born in Bridgton on July 19, 1935, to parents Orris and Wilsie (Harmon) Durgin.

Duane attended and graduated from local schools, and attended technical school. He served his country in the U.S. Army for a number of years before he married the love of his life, Sue Smith on July 24, 1958. He worked for Bell Laboratories until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Durgin; son, David Durgin and wife Colleen of Allentown, Pa.; grandchildren, Victoria, Tyler Durgin of Allentown, Pa., and Dustin, and Zackery Dur- gin of Catasaqua, Pa.

He is predeceased by his son, Stephen Durgin, and his parents Orris and Wilsie Durgin.
