Dorothy Irene (Chadbourne) Snow, 76, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Bridgton Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was born December 27, 1946, in Rochester, N.H. a daughter of Perley and Mildred (Purington) Chadbourne. She married the love of her life Frank Snow III, on December 27, 1980, and together they shared 52 years.

She worked as the office manager for the family business, Snow’s Excavation, for many years.

One of her biggest joys was her three dogs. She had a passion for cooking and created amazing dishes. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, crosswords and puzzles. She looked forward to camping at the Fryeburg Fair every year. She loved racing from horse races to auto races. She would enjoy the auto races with her husband, who raced locally and did a couple of seasons as a driver herself. After his retirement from racing, they enjoyed watching NASCAR together even traveling to watch some in person. She was also a world traveler, but her happiest times were spent visiting with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Perley and Mildred Chadbourne, two brothers, and a sister, Fern Twitchell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Frank, her children Daniel Snow and his wife Amy, Jeffrey Snow and his wife Carol, Teresa Baker and her husband Jarrett, Lori Millett and her husband Mike, and Michelle Brown, along with her 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, along with many close friends she had made over the years.

In following Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no funeral or graveside services. A celebration of life will be held on August 19 at the family home, from 1-5 p.m. The event will be a potluck, BYO beverage.
