OXFORD — Donald E. “Donnie” Rogers, 71, of Oxford, died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 31, 2018 at his home in Oxford, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Aug. 18, 1947 in Norway, a son of Earl Rogers and Ruth Evelyn “Evie” (Green) Kimball. He attended Norway and Oxford schools, graduating from Oxford High School with highest honors.

On Aug. 7, 1971, he married Carlene Smith in South Paris.

As a teenager he worked at his father’s filling station, Earl’s Citgo on Main Street of Norway. He worked virtually the rest of his adult life in the manufactured housing business, at one point or another for nearly all of them in the Oxford Hills.

He was a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge #18 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoe trips, golfing and pitching horseshoes over a couple of beers with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carlene of Oxford; his second father, Bob Kimball of South Paris; his stepmother, Ellieann Rogers of Norway; four children, Gary Rogers of Oxford, Kenny Rogers of Poland, Terry Parquette of Greene and Tracy Luscombe of Naples; stepson, Brian Rogers of Oxford; three brothers, Danny and Dwayne Kimball and three sisters, Dawn Delagarza, Faith Richards and Shelley Newcomb; stepbrother, Michael Lund; stepsister, Irene Millet; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother, “Evie”; two children, Tina Tripp Radcliff and Carl Tripp; and a sister, Brenda Brown.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery in Oxford. Arrangements are in the care of Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1087 Main Street, Oxford. Condolences and tributes may be shared at www.oxfordhillsfuneralservices.com
