David W. Cassidy Sr., 90, of Bridgton, died unexpectedly and peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Bridgton Hospital, while surrounded by family.

Son of the late Robert F. Cassidy and Genevieve Gower Cassidy. David was born in Boston and grew up in Braintree, Mass. graduating with the class of 1949.

David is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elinor McGaughey Cassidy of Bridgton; his children David W. Jr. (Kathleen) of Westford, Mass., Dennis J. (Cynthia) of Naples, Thomas M. (Karen) of Albany Township, James F. (Susan) of S. Weymouth Mass., Peter R. (Juanita) of Phillipston, Mass., and Maureen Cassidy Walther (Brien) of Jackson Township, N.J. He is survived by his grandchildren; Lauren Cassidy of Amherst, Mass., Katie Cassidy Davis (Adam) of Windham, Maine, Kevin Cassidy of New York, N.Y., Emily Cassidy of Casco, Maine, James Cassidy (Nichole) of Hingham, Mass., Colleen Cassidy of Abington, Mass., Patrick Walther of Jackson Twp., N.J., and predeceased by Sarah Walther of Jackson Twp, N.J. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Grace and Joan Davis, and Nora Cassidy

Funeral from the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Saturday, October 23, at 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church in Holbrook at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Friday, October 22nd from 4-7pm. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.
