Dana Manchester
Dana Manchester passed peacefully in his home Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the arms of his son Jason Manchester Sr., with his wife Linda Manchester, and his daughter Hope Manchester beside him.
Dana was born in Portland on January 14, 1963, to Byron and Hazel Manchester. He was the youngest of their children. Dana is survived by his wife Linda Manchester of Casco, his son Jason Manchester Sr. and daughter-
in-law Heather Manchester of Naples and their nine children, daughter Hope Manchester of Casco and her two children. Two sisters, Melody and Marie, and his brother Frank.
He married the love of his life Linda Lee on May 20, 1989.
Dana has always enjoyed working in the garage. In his younger days, he would always be gone fishing. Dana loved the outdoors life — a true Mainah! He loved hunting and fishing! Dana felt his biggest accomplishment was the son he raised, Jason. Dana was so proud of Jason. Dana’s love and care for his son grew bigger as Jason’s family did. Dana loved the big family, spending time with all nine of Jason’s children and his grandchildren, Abigail, Allison, Margaret, Annabelle, Jason Jr., Jackson, Jamison, Mason, Maddison. Dana has two other grandchildren, Maverix and Riley from Hope, who he loved spending time with and watching her young family grow. Dana loved his family and was a good man in many peoples’ eyes. Others not so much as he is a Manchester and a Manchester is “loud and proud!” — it’s just who we are.
Per Dana’s request, there will be no services but a celebration of life will be held at the Casco Community Center on November 23, 2024, from 12 to 1 p.m. for family and 1 to 3 p.m. for friends. Dana is very loved and will be missed by many!
