Cathy Sullivan, 63
Cathy Sullivan, 63, of Bridgton, loving wife of Patrick (Skip) Sullivan, went to her home in heaven on April 7, 2021. Those who had the privilege to know her throughout the many chapters of her life were met with her gracious spirit, her generous energy, and an unwavering courage and strength.
Cathy truly lived her life, whether it was a new travel destination to explore, a boat ride in the sun, a gathering of friends or family to entertain, a grandchild to snuggle, or serving others through Rotary or church. Skip was faithfully by her side these past 10 years, serving with and supporting her in these endeavors. She found joy in every adventure, and brought warmth with her wherever she went.
Her proudest accomplishments were a 30-plus year career at ExxonMobil, raising a daughter who became a best friend, and loving those around her deeply and with compassion. Cathy’s personal motto was “life goes on,” and she would want us all to listen to her.
Born Catherine Ann Gowman to the late Daniel and Barbara Gowman (Wayne, Penn.), she lived most of her life in Chester County, Penn., before moving to her beloved Maine.
She is survived by: her husband Skip Sullivan (Bridgton); her daughter Randi Rosenfeld (Perrineville, N.J.) and son-in-law Jared; her brother Steven Gowman/Donna (Phoenixville, Pa.); her sister Linda Hansell/Martin (Baltimore, Md.); her stepdaughter Katie McDonald (Fayetteville, N.C.); stepsons Scott/Amy Sullivan (Ky.) and Bob/Renee Sullivan (Ind.); grandchildren Hannah, Ada and Colt Rosenfeld (N.J.), Evan, Lucas and Jen Sullivan (Ky.), Abby and Ben Scrock and Lydia Sullivan (Ind.).
A celebration of life is being planned for the future.
In lieuof flowers, a donation to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, or Rotary International is suggested.
