AUBURN — Carol Ann Smith, 65, of Norway, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at the Hospice House with her husband by her side.

She was born in North Conway, N.H., on April 9, 1953, the daughter of John Snow and Martha Leach. She graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1971. She held several jobs in the community over the years, most recently as office manager for E.A. Smith Plumbing and Heating.

She enjoyed crafts, racing and spending time with her family. She loved bird watching and feeding her turkeys.

She is survived by her husband Ed of Norway; her son, Scott Johnson of Naples; her daughter, Stephanie Rowe of Norway; six grandchildren; her brother, Alan Leach of Lovell; her sister, Dawn Doble of Norway; many nieces and nephews; her “My Mother,” Wilda Dunham and her husband Sidney of Sumner; and many extended family members.

She was predeceased by her mother; her stepfather Don Leach; and her Grammie Sanborn.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
