Tuesday, April 7
8:31 a.m. Police assistance sought when a patient was discharged from the hospital, but then refused to leave and tossed items. Police learned the patient had no ride home (outside of Bridgton).
8:39 a.m. Suspicious person at Brickyard Hill Road residence.
12:25 p.m. Fire, police and ambulance personnel responded to a brush/grass fire on North Bridgton Road.
1:05 p.m. Possible controlled substance found in vehicle on Kennard Street.
1:14 p.m Simple assault report on Forest Avenue.
8:36 p.m. Disturbance at a Portland Road location. Subject claimed he had been hit on the head and thinks he had passed out.
9:17 p.m. Subject refused to leave at a John’s Cove residence.

12:53 p.m. Unattended death at Friendship Acres.
3:26 p.m. Disorderly conduct at Frost Farm Road. Report of attempted break-in; Officers Muise, Swiatek, Hammond and Sgt. Jones responded.
4:19 p.m. Domestic situation on Sanborn’s Grove Road; Officer McCloud and Sgt. Jones responded.
5:25 p.m. Intoxicated person on South High Street.
7:46 p.m. Possible break-in to a storage shed on Depot Street.
8:21 p.m. Suspicious vehicle at Highland Lake Beach.
10:57 p.m. Suspicious person at Portland Road business.
11 p.m. Citizen assist on Fowler Street.
Thursday, April 9
10:57 a.m. Report of subject illegally dumping leaves and debris onto another’s Kimball Road property.
1:22 p.m. Subject stopped by police headquarters to thank BPD for checking on an alarm, and give out gift cards.
4:23 p.m. Vehicle off the road at the intersection of Washington View Lane and South Bridgton Road. No injuries reported.
4:52 p.m. Sex offender registration.
5:18 p.m. Vehicle off the road on South High Street, no injuries.
5:36 p.m. Tree down across Chadbourne Hills Road.
5:49 p.m. Resident claimed rocks kicked up by town plow trucks had damaged siding to his Harrison Road home.
5:30 p.m. Caller sought information on how to donate to the Bridgton Food Pantry.
6:41 p.m. Motor vehicle crash at intersection of Chadbourne Hill Road and Highland Road.
8:49 p.m. Tree in the road on South High Street, near Woods Pond Beach.
Friday, April 10
2:09 a.m. Assist ambulance personnel with positive Covid-19 patient reportedly not cooperative. Patient transported to Bridgton Hospital.
6:10 a.m. Assist elderly resident on Pond Road during power outage.
8:01 a.m. Suspicious subjects (wearing hoodies that were “up”) in a vehicle at local bank drive-up; Officer Swiatek and Chief Stillman responded.
11:57 a.m. Harassment (phone and social media) complaint made. Subject requested a protection from abuse order.
1:11 p.m. Caller has supplies to donate to BPD, calling to coordinate drop-off.
5:55 p.m. Kansas Road resident reported receiving “unwanted” phone calls from a “recording.”
6:22 p.m. Sgt. Jones responded as back-up to a possible standoff (male subject refusing to exit a house) following a domestic situation on Knights Hill Road in Sweden to assist county and state law enforcement.
9:02 p.m. Suspicious person at Brickyard Hill Road.
11:01 p.m. Officers responded to a report of 15 to 20 gunshots or fireworks in Whispering Pine Lane area.

2:20 p.m. Assist fire department with a tree down on Pond Road.
2:22 p.m. Noise complaint (car alarm that keeps sounding) at Sawyer Circle apartment.
4:22 p.m. Attempt to locate Chevy truck, reportedly “all over the road” on South High Street.
8:27 p.m. Speeding complaint on Kansas Road.

11:36 p.m. Suspicious activity at Depot Street parking lot. Officer Hammond found subject living out of a vehicle, parked in the lot.
Sunday, April 12
2:01 a.m. Officer Hammond checked out a report of a “flashing” light (neighbor said it was like a strobe light for over an hour) at an Oak Street home. No signs of distress.

8:52 a.m. Assisted South High Street resident to lift injured dog into a vehicle so she could take the pet to the veterinarian.
11:24 a.m. Welfare check on Mechanic Street.
12:30 p.m. Domestic situation on South Bridgton Road.
2:13 p.m. Traffic hazard on Main Street, area of road construction near Food City resulting in a “deep sink hole” that nearly caused damage to a motorist’s bumper.
5:24 p.m. Tree down on Swamp Road making roadway impassable; no wires involved.
6:33 p.m. Check report of a burglary at Brewster Circle.
