SOUTH PARIS — Bonita L. (Hamilton) Osgood, Bonnie was born on August 3, 1941, and was adopted by Clara and William Hamilton of Westbrook. She died on March 5, 2024.

She married her soul mate Melvin C. Osgood on June 16, 1961, and had five children.

Bonnie worked in the medical field for most of her life starting at NCMH in Bridgton, to when she retired from Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., as the head of Central Supply.

Bonnie and Mel’s passion in life was raising, training, and racing Sulky horses. They worked for many owners over the years and traveled the racing circuit.

Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Mel on March 18, 2010, and her brother Gerard (Jerry) Hamilton on April 24, 2018, as well as her parents and in-laws.

She is survived by her children Lori, Michael, Mark, Stephen, and Bruce. Her eight grandchildren, Alisa, Christopher, Rhiannon, Sara, Asa, Megan, Skylar, and Kolby. Her great- grandchildren Kopen, Ryder, Lucy, Leland, Corrina, Malcolm, and Ellanor as well as many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Bonita’s wishes, a graveside service will take place in the Spring.
