Around the United States, veterans of all wars and conflicts are being honored this Saturday, Nov. 11. Around the Lake Region, here are some events that are taking place to honor our local veterans.

BRIDGTON

Veterans Day services, Saturday, 11 a.m., Farragut Memorial Park on North High Street across from the Old Town Hall.

CASCO

Veterans Day Breakfast, Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Casco Community Center, located 940 Meadow Road. It’s a free breakfast for veterans and their families. For more information, call Beth Latsey, 627-4187.

HARRISON

Veterans share stories and remember those who died in service, Sunday, 2 p.m., Harrison Historical Society Museum, on Haskell Hill Road off Maple Ridge Road.

NAPLES

• Free lunch honoring Veterans, today, Thursday, 11:30 a.m., at the Lake Regional Vocational Center, 1877 Roosevelt Trail in Naples. The law enforcement students will present the colors and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The Lake Region High School Interact Club will hand out thank you cards, while the Health Occupation students will engage in a giving thanks moment. Adam Quincy will play TAPS in honor of the missing soldier. The culinary arts students will prepare the meal, which will be served at noon.

• Veterans Day services, Saturday, 11 a.m., Naples Village Green. Following the ceremony, the American Legion Post 155, located 26 Casco Road (Route 11) will be open to the public.

FRYEBURG

Fryeburg Lovell Post 6783 holds three Veterans Day Ceremonies. 11:11a.m. at the East Conway N.H., WW1 Memorial located on River Road and Route 113; 11:30 a.m. at Bradley Park in Fryeburg, River Road and Route 302; and at Noon at Lovell Veteran’s Park (next to the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library).

SEBAGO

Veterans Day Program, Saturday, 11 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park. There will be refreshments and a flag retiring ceremony. Hosted by the Sebago Lions Club.

STANDISH

Veterans Day spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Maine’s Unhoused Veterans, Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m., 175 Northeast Rd in Standish. Cost is $14 for adults and $8 for children 3 and older.
