Anne Frost

Anne C. Frost, 76, of Bridgton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, at her home in Bridgton, surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born on Apr. 26, 1944, in Baldwin, a daughter of Carroll E. and Eleanor R. (Bowie) Edwards. She attended local schools and went on to earn a nursing degree.

On Feb. 11, 1961, she married, Kenneth Rodney Frost Sr., in Denmark. They made their home in Bridgton while Anne worked as a young woman at the local shoe shop and knitting mill. She went on to work as a nurse in local nursing homes, including Ledgeview in West Paris which she loved very much.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading and various card games including cribbage, solitaire and the annual Thanksgiving poker game which she repeatedly cheated in.

Anne is loved by her five children, Peter Frost and his wife,“Sadie” of Bridgton, Ramona Thompson of Bridgton, Matthew “Shane” Frost of Oxford, Julie Meroney of Bridgton, and Marsha Dyer and her husband, William “Bill” of Bridgton; daughter-in-law, Holly Frost of Fryeburg; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Sr. in 2002; two sons, Kenneth Frost Jr. and Walter Frost; four sisters, Irma, Ruth, Charlotte and Gladys; a great-granddaughter, Sophia.
